... a mobile with stars

When one of my friends told me she was pregnant, I decided to make something for her baby. I thought a mobile to hang above the cot would be nice and had several ideas, but I wanted the items on the mobile to be soft and colourful, so I ended up making a mobile with different coloured stars. I cut out two stars in different sizes from cardboard, which I used as stencils for my material. I cut out the different fabrics and sewed the stars together, stuffing them with toy stuffing. Then I hung them from two bamboo sticks which I tied together to form a cross, and hung the stars from it with transparent nylon thread. The stars bounced very nicely on this.
